Keinginan Menggunakan Angkot di kota Medan dengan Peningkatan Layanan Informasi

Keterandalan dan kenyamanan pengalaman perjalanan dengan angkot dapat ditingkatkan dengan cara modernisasi, khususnya dengan penyediaan layanan informasi. Dalam studi ini, kami memperkenalkan konsep layanan informasi real-time kepada pengguna angkot, dan mengeksplorasi tingkat keinginan pengguna dalam semakin menggunakan angkot setelah dilengkapi layanan informasi tersebut. Baik karakteristik sosio-ekonomi maupun perjalanan dipergunakan untuk memprediksi tingkat keinginan tersebut. Responden yang merupakan pengguna angkot di Kota Medan diwawancarai dengan instrumen kuesioner terstruktur, dan terkumpul sebanyak 385 orang. Model logit ordinal kemudian dispesifikasikan dalam beberapa kombinasi variabel bebas yang memiliki korelasi baik. Terdapat 2 variabel sosioekonomi (ukuran rumah tangga menengah, dan status sebagai pelajar) dan 2 variabel karakteristik perjalanan (frekuensi kategori rendah, dan menengah) yang signifikan mempengaruhi probabilitas menaikkan tingkat keinginan pengguna. Layanan informasi cenderung diinginkan oleh pengguna, dan dapat meningkatkan keinginan untuk menggunakan angkot meskipun hanya berlaku bagi kelompok tertentu. Sekurang-kurangnya, skenario cenderung menguatkan loyalitas pengguna eksisting. Pengguna kendaraan pribadi adalah salah satu yang kemungkinan berpersepsi biasa saja akan penambahan layanan ini.ÂReferences
