Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran moderasi pendidikan kewirausahaan terhadap perilaku berwirausaha dengan menggunakan kerangka Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) pada 400 pelaku UMKM di Kota Medan. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan metode Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dengan pendekatan Partial Least Squares (PLS) melalui perangkat lunak SmartPLS versi 4. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan kewirausahaan berperan signifikan dalam memoderasi hubungan antara sikap dan kontrol perilaku yang dipersepsikan terhadap perilaku berwirausaha. Namun demikian, peran moderasi pendidikan kewirausahaan tidak ditemukan signifikan pada hubungan antara norma subjektif dan niat berwirausaha. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pendidikan kewirausahaan memberikan kontribusi penting dalam membentuk sikap positif dan memperkuat kontrol perilaku yang dipersepsikan, yang pada gilirannya dapat mendorong peningkatan perilaku berwirausaha di kalangan pelaku UMKM. Oleh karena itu, pemerintah dan pemangku kepentingan terkait diharapkan dapat memperkuat program pendampingan yang berkelanjutan serta memperluas akses terhadap sumber pendanaan guna memberikan dukungan yang lebih konkret bagi pelaku UMKM. Selain itu, pelaku usaha juga perlu meningkatkan partisipasi mereka dalam berbagai program pelatihan kewirausahaan untuk mengembangkan kapasitas bisnis dan meningkatkan daya saing di tengah lingkungan bisnis yang semakin dinamis. Penelitian ini masih memiliki sejumlah keterbatasan, di antaranya hanya mencakup lingkup wilayah Kota Medan dan menggunakan data berbasis persepsi responden (self-reported data). Oleh karena itu, penelitian selanjutnya disarankan untuk memperluas cakupan wilayah penelitian dan mengombinasikan pendekatan kualitatif guna memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih komprehensif dan mendalam.
