BEREKSISTENSI DI ERA DIGITAL MENELAAH RELEVANSI KONSEP EKSISTENSI KIERKEGAARD

Abstract

In today’s digital era, digital communication technology permeates the world and affects individual attitudes in determining themselves or existing. With its attractiveness and opium, digital communication technology becomes a means that changes the mindset, and determines an individual’s decision to determine himself, how he exists, and unites himself with the world. Therefore, it loses its authenticity as an individual that exists distinctively or authentically. Faced with existential problems like this, the author tries to examine the concept of existence proposed by Kierkegaard, which offers solutions for individuals to exist authentically.  Kierkegaard posited three stages of existence: aesthetic, ethical and religious. Of the three stages, the main point emphasized is that man exists based on his free will, based on what he conceptualizes or idealizes. The research method used in this paper is qualitative research in which the author studies related problems proposed in the literatures, then the author draws conclusions by outlining critical notes and solutions to these problems.
