MENJADI MANUSIA YANG HUMANIS DI TENGAH KEBUDAYAAN MODERN DALAM PERSPEKTIF SOEDJATMOKO DAN NURCHOLISH MADJID

Modern times are marked by technological advances, globalization, and rapid economic development. These advances and developments threaten human values, such as dehumanization, individualism, and social inequality. In this context, Soedjatmoko dan Nurcholish Madjid offer a way of thinking that is important for the development of the whole person. This article aims to critically examine the views of these two thinkers, especially on humanism. Soedjatmoko emphasizes the importance of human centered development that leads to a more humanist education. Meanwhile, Nurcholish Madjid offers humanism based on responsible freedom. Through a qualitative approach and literature study, this article shows that both of them are focused on the same urgency of forming a more humanist human being. Thus, the thoughts of Soedjatmoko and Nurcholish Madjid can be an important contribution in building a complete humanitarian paradigm amid the challenges of modernity.References
