Abstract

Penelitian mengenai moderasi beragama di Indonesia berkembang pesat dalam bidang pendidikan, sosiologi, dan kebijakan publik, sedangkan fondasi biblisnya masih relatif kurang mendapat perhatian. Artikel ini bertujuan mengkaji teologi rekonsiliasi dalam Ef 2:11-22 serta kontribusinya bagi pengembangan moderasi beragama di Indonesia. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode eksegesis historis-kritis melalui analisis konteks, struktur argumentasi, istilah-istilah kunci, dan dialog dengan penelitian mutakhir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pusat argumentasi Paulus bukan sekadar pendamaian antara orang Yahudi dan bangsa-bangsa lain, melainkan tindakan Allah yang merobohkan struktur permusuhan, menciptakan “satu manusia baru”, dan membangun suatu komunitas sebagai keluarga Allah. Rekonsiliasi dipahami sebagai tindakan penciptaan Allah yang melahirkan identitas baru bagi umat-Nya. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, artikel ini mengusulkan bahwa moderasi beragama tidak cukup dipahami sebagai sikap toleran atau strategi mengelola keberagaman, tetapi sebagai paradigma rekonsiliasi yang menolak eksklusivisme, meruntuhkan struktur permusuhan, dan membangun kehidupan bersama yang berakar pada martabat manusia serta karya pendamaian Allah di dalam Kristus.
