Absence is an important thing for lecturers to be absent at an institution in lectures. In carrying out attendance, they still use the manual method, resulting in problems such as data loss, damage to attendance paper data, and it takes time to find the required attendance data. In connection with this problem, it takes time for an online attendance system to detect locations using a web camera to make it easier for lecturers to attend students effectively and efficiently every day. With this the author designs an online attendance system for detecting locations with a web camera in web-based science and technology classes that can be applied to the class, with web-based online attendance it makes it easier for lecturers in the office to take attendance, recap attendance report data, because every attendance made recorded in the system database.
