Abstract

The increase in population and economic growth has led to an escalation in the quantity of urban waste, resulting in environmental impacts. In Indonesia, particularly in North Sumatra, municipal waste disposal has garnered attention from local governments, yet electronic and household waste receive insufficient consideration. Consequently, communities dispose of such waste in inappropriate locations, causing detrimental environmental effects. As a solution, the web "EcoSort" has been developed to aid households in managing waste separation and promote better recycling practices and waste management. This web provides guidance on proper household waste sorting, including separable recycling materials. Additionally, it offers various features such as waste disposal schedules, waste collection point locations, reward points, and waste sorting guidelines. With the "EcoSort" web, it is hoped that households can efficiently manage waste in an environmentally friendly manner.
