Abstract

Choosing a major in college often confuses prospective students, and most of them struggle to make the right decision based on their interests, talents, and abilities. Many even make mistakes in selecting their college majors. One way to address this issue is by utilizing a Decision Support System employing the Simple Additive Weighting Method. This Website-based Decision Support System is designed to assist prospective students in finding a college major that aligns with their interests and talents. The process of selecting a major involves calculating the weights of each alternative based on predetermined criteria. The system then conducts calculations to determine the best major, aiding users in making decisions regarding their choice of college major as they continue their education at the tertiary level.
