Abstract

The aim of this research is to evaluate the implementation of multiple linear regression on the influence of students' IQ level and attendance level on their academic performance. Data is collected from a number of students attending various schools, with IQ tests and attendance records over a specified time period. The independent variables (IQ and attendance level) and the dependent variable (academic performance) are related to each other by the multiple linear regression method. The results of the analysis show that the two independent variables—IQ and attendance level—have a significant influence on students' academic performance. Results also showed that IQ had a greater influence on students' academic performance than attendance rate. Attendance rate also contributes, but its impact is less than that of IQ.
